Jürgen Trouvain (Saarland University)

Dr. Jürgen Trouvain is a Researcher and Lecturer in the Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. His main research interests include non-verbal vocalisations, non-native speech, stylistic and dialectal variation of speech, and history of phonetic sciences. He is one of the founders and currently the secretary of the Special Interest Group on "The History of Speech Communication Research".

Ákos Gocsál (University of Pécs)

Ákos Gocsál, PhD, dr. habil. is an Assistant Professor of the University of Pécs, Faculty of Music and Visual Arts in Pécs, Hungary, and he is also a Research Fellow of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics, Budapest, Hungary. His main areas of research are speech-based social perception, including listener jugdments of speaker age, personality, gender or body configuration and inter-speaker variability, regarding these non-linguistic individual or group-specific factors.  His professional interests also include research into the speech material of old Hungarian newsreels, and the development of a database of metadata that supports this research.
